Just a random Friday morning....AND CAMP GRIFFIN!!!!!!!!

This shirt makes me laugh!!!!
Sadly, shortly after this picture was taken Jacobtown was demolished by a freak act where a tricycle decended upon the town and crushed it!!! Luckily or not so luckily, the town has been rebulit and redestoyed at least 5 times since then.
Jacob took this picture!!!!
TOO CUTE...here are the Griffin counselors....there are literally at least 1000 picture sof Camp Griffin on the web, most of which are hilarious and fun, but I chose just a few that make me smile...I don't have the storage to post all the obnes that made me smile and laugh!!!!

Stephanie and Stephen do their best fish!!!!
So your oldest is leaving for school, would you put them in the hands of this guy????

The freshmen are here!!!!!!!!!!

I miss Copeland!!!!

Way to take one for the team Jacob.
No one puts Jacob in the corner!!!!
Could she be more fabulous ?

You have no idea how bad we wish we could have been there, but it looks like y'all had an incredible time. I hope people can appreciate how much work y'all put into prepping for camp, camp itself and then the most important...keeping connected afterwards. Y'all are invaluable to a freshman's first year!!!!!

Fun and inventive ways to get out of packing!

I hate to pack...let me say that again....I HATE TO PACK! So much so that I moved to New Mexico and had Clifton pack up my apartment when we moved into our house in College Station. I went to Fish Camp my freshmen year and had my parents pack me up and move me into my dorm in College Station while I was gone. I can figure out some ways to not pack and move!!!
I am my father's daughter...
My parents are moving from downtown to Plano and my father decided to come up with his own way to avoid packing on Tuesday. He cleverly orchestrated having a small or series of small strokes on Tuesday. Although, I applaud his efforts to avoid having to pack, I do not appreciate him pulling a stunt like this when I'm 8000 miles away and my husband was somewhere between Qatar and Texas in a plane.
Good news is, is that he is fine...they did several tests including a CAT scan and MRI and were able to determine that he has a brain. No seriously, no permanent damage and no masses in the brain. A few clogged arteries that they may have to keep an eye on down the road....but, let's all pray that it was an isolated incident and that they don't move again so then he won't have to get out of packing.
To make you smile: Jacob and his lunch date Emma two weeks ago at Applebees

Oh yeah...as Kara said, these two party animals brole that record (well just mine)

Ahhhhh so much to say

First off, in 24 hours 26 of these fine young folks will have about 150 freshmen at fish camp for four days!!!! Go Camp Griffin....so sad we aren't there, but I can say with much certainty that Clifton has enjoyed being a namesake and you have brought out a side of him not even I have seen and maybe that was best ;).

We took Jacob to Vellagio to ride on the Gondalas for his birthday and he LOVED it and attracted alot of attention. The waiters at Fridays sang happy birthday to him which shocked him.

Clifton had a nice birthday and he is outside right now smoking his present.....(it was a shisha pipe). The families are slowly trickling back to Doha and our compound. This has been very nice because I need some girl time and Jacob needs to be around some kids. Twin three year old girls came over today and he was in heaven playing with them.

I won't bore y'all with many other details...but this is shaping up to be a great week. Jacob's party is Saturday....keep your fingers crossed for us...she be about 40 to 50 folks there!!!!
